Self-esteem

Self-esteem refers to how we think about ourselves. It affects every aspect of our lives. When someone suffers from low self-esteem, s/he will be extremely self-critical and is not able to trust his/her own abilities and strengths.

Poor self-esteem can cause depression and anxiety and reduce people’s quality of life. Cognitive behavioral therapy can be an effective treatment for the improvement of self-esteem.
