Dyslexia is a learning difference not a learning difficulty.
Children with dyslexia experience lack of motivation most of the times because they find it difficult to understand what they are reading, and how they need to use the information they have been given by their teachers. Continuous failure in this aspect causes them to give up trying.
Our aim is to help children with dyslexia to become independent and life-long learners. They are taught how to build up their self-confidence, which, in my opinion, is vital in learning.
